Social Procurement Australasia re-launched for 2026!

We are excited to relaunch Social Procurement Australasia (SPA) for 2026!

SPA was originally established in 2013 to build awareness and develop practice in the then emerging field of social procurement. SPA played an important role in helping drive the growth of policy and practice to the maturing environment we see today. Yet while there has been significant progress, there is a long way to go. Policies, practice, and capability vary across jurisdictions and industries, as does the public value and impact being achieved.

To help support the next stage of development, we are excited to relaunch SPA as an independent not-for-profit with the same commitment to the power of procurement as a critical lever to drive social change.

SPA aims to provide a collaborative vehicle that supports thought leadership and development across Australia and New Zealand. SPA will be advocating for and championing social procurement to strengthen policy and practice and enhance funding and support for the social procurement ecosystem.
